Anniversary of the Fay Street Warehouse Implosion

It was a frigid Sunday morning, three years ago. We were among a small group given slightly closer access to the planned implosion to make way for the new North-South Arterial Bridge.

#UticaBigBang2014 - There was a contest in January 2014, where the New York State Department of Transportation gave one lucky winner the chance to "pull the trigger" on the detonator.

It was an amazing experience to hear the series of explosions, then watch in perfect coordination as the building crumbled from one side to the other. There was only minimal debris that spilled onto the old Arterial bridge.

Quite a different view today - have you forgotten that old warehouse or do you still picture it when you drive by?
