Police intervened in an animal abuse and cruelty case in Le Roy, just west of Rochester, and an investigation is under way.

Officers found a cat inside a plastic bin that was shut and sealed with duct tape. Police reached the male tabby in time, so he appeared to be in good health. Good thing. There had been no air holes available on the lid to allow the cat access to a sufficient supply of oxygen.
