5 Things We Learned From Bella Thorne’s Mini ‘Vogue’ Documentary
Love her or hate her, one thing is certain: 20-year-old Bella Thorne is finally and completely in control of her own destiny.
In a new miniature documentary for Vogue, titled Inside the Life of Bella Thorne, the former Disney Channel actress pulls back the curtains on her days as a strictly managed child star, the staggering worth of her social media accounts and how she's been able to come to terms with her insecurities, as well as the public's preconceived notions about her. (Spoiler alert: She doesn't care what you think, #sorrynotsorry.)

She makes $65K per Instagram post
Bella, who has more than 17 million followers and calls Instagram "100 percent a job to me," makes $65,000 per Instagram post ("grid posting") and $10,000-$20,000 per Instagram Story or Snapchat post. She also credits Instagram for her ability to afford a house, revealing that when she was 18 years old, she "started out with literally $200 in my bank account," and was only able to purchase a home the following year after making bank on social media.

She used to hate her real name
"When I was younger people used to call me Anna, and I guess I hated that," Bella, née Annabella Avery Thorne, shares, revealing that she at the age of 5 she insisted people only refer to her as "Bella"—or so her mom, a "compulsive liar," has told her.

She's finally getting over her fear of driving
Bella shares that ever since her father died in a motorcycle accident in 2007, she's "had a fear of driving." Despite her trepidation, as well as the paparazzi hounding her during driving lessons, Bella, who put learning how to drive on her 2018 "goals list," is determined to get behind the wheel this year.

Her agents wanted her to be the next Rachel McAdams
Bella reveals that her agents originally wanted her to transition from Disney roles, to comedy films, to being the lead love interest in rom-coms in a bid to be billed as the next Rachel McAdams. "I love Rachel McAdams, but I'm not Rachel McAdams. I like the darker things," she shares, adding that she's always preferred grittier, more "uncomfortable" roles.

She didn't feel "free" in her Shake It Up days
Bella recounts that walking into her audition for Disney Channel's Shake It Up "wasn't a choice." "This pays the bills, this is what you do," she says, while her sister Dani adds that the actress wasn't "free" during her days as a Disney star, as she was constricted by contracts and people telling her who to be, what to wear and how to talk.
