Blake Lively Opens Up About ‘Gossip Girl’ + Getting a Self-Esteem Boost From Beyonce
Good news, Upper East Side! 'Gossip Girl' star Blake Lively recently reminisced about her time on the set of the iconic teen soap.
Earlier this week (May 4), the actress took over Vogue's Twitter account, answering questions about the show, her hubby Ryan Reynolds and why Beyonce boosted her self-esteem.
When asked what she misses most about 'Gossip Girl,' Blake said, "I miss the people that I worked with, our cast and our crew. But I don't miss the 16-hour days."
However, she added that the first season was especially memorable for her because "it was the 1st year I lived in New York City and what a way to live in NY. It was very special and surreal."
Although the actress is most well-known for her role as Serena Van Der Woodsen, she was offered a one-in-a-life-time opportunity to be in Beyonce and Jay Z's 'On the Run' short film. So how did it feel to be asked by Queen B herself to participate?
"It was the first moment in my life where I truly felt cool. It gave me a high sense of self-esteem for a good 10 min," Blake responded. (In case you're wondering, Blake's favorite song by the superstar is 'Love on Top.')
Before Blake married husband Ryan Reynolds in 2012, the two starred together in 2011's 'The Green Lantern.' But would she work with him again?
"In the olden days, a couple could be in every movie together, but it's just not like that anymore," Blake explained. She added, "We both wish we could go back to then, because that would be a lot of fun."
