An incredible downstate New York personal holiday lights display required a TV film crew in a helicopter to take it all in.

The house located in Queens has been dazzling the New York City area for years. In 2017, ABC7NY sent its own news chopper to gather the amazing footage above.

Kevin Lynch, the former firefighter who owns the house, won a $50,000 first place prize for his display back in 2013, and sunk the winnings into improving his show. He actually buries the power cords under his lawn, so people can get up close without worrying about tripping and getting injured.

The whole thing is a win-win. On top of being a great holiday spectacle, the display generates donations from passers-by and the proceeds go to a local nonprofit--St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children.

Can we compete here in Central New York? If you know of any great displays in Utica-Rome or any corner of the Mohawk Valley, please send a note (with a pic or video) to Beth@lite987.com. If you can't do that, just give us the address and we'll send our own camera crew.
