Most Bizarre Childbirth Award Goes to Couple That Will Lets Dolphins Deliver Their Baby
A North Carolina couple is giving new meaning to the term ‘water birth.’
Adam Barrington and his wife, Heather, have traveled to Hawaii where she will deliver their baby in a dolphin-assisted birth.
Yes, you just read that right.
The couple is shacking up with Star Newland, who founded the Sirius Institute – a group whose goal is 'dolphinizing' the planet.
Yes, you just read that right.
Adam, 29, and Heather, 27, came up with the most unusual idea after reading a book called 'The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life' by Drunvalo Melchizedek.
The couple isn’t expecting their bundle of joy until July, but they have already begun the process of getting ready for the dolphin birth by passing their days in the water and “forming a connection with a dolphin pod they hope will bond with them and ultimately their newborn.”
Heather said there’s a greater purpose than just welcoming a new person to the world:
It is about reconnecting as humans with the dolphins so we can coexist in this world together and learn from one another.”
As you may imagine, Adam and Heather are what you may call “free spirits.” She’s the Dharma to his equally Dharma. Adam admits “We are all about living off the earth.” The couple has bounced around from one place to another, living in their car and doing odd jobs to make ends meet.
After they have the baby, the couple will remain in Hawaii while deciding where they want to go.
So, they’re having a baby and have no plan after that?
Sadly, you just read that right.
