Find Out Who Wins: Muscle Cars Vs. Classic Cars
First things first, if you read the headline and, like me, wonder what the difference is between a Muscle Car and a Classic Car, here you go: a classic car is fairly run-of-the mill, built for practical purposes, and a muscle car is all about bombastic image. Think about the contrast between Richie Cunningham and the Fonz on Happy Days.
Lots of BOTH are available to check out in Central New York this summer.
If you're a car owner or fan, you're probably already going to the 4th annual "Biggest Car Show of the Year" at Preswick Glen Wednesday, August 2nd, from 6-8 pm. If you're just finding out, take notes, and get set to drive your car over to where the action is.
The photos in this piece were taken at the 2016 event. And the 2017 show is expected to be even bigger and better.
Preswick Glen is the independent senior living community in New Hartford. This show gathers cars, car enthusiasts, and fans from all over Central New York and beyond, with record-setting attendance each year.
It's competitive. There will be three different categories with three prizes for Best Muscle Car, Best Classic Car, and Best in Show. The folks from Steve's Restorations & Hot Rods, located in Frankfort, will be on hand to help with the judging process.
Preswick Glen is located on Route 12B in New Hartford, between New Hartford and Clinton. Rain date is Wednesday, August 9th, 6-8 pm.
For more information, you can contact the Programming & Events Director for Preswick Glen, Kyle Leisner, who is also one of the judges for the big show: kleisner@preswickglen.com or 315-734-9586. But, no bribing.
