Fleetwood Mac is cancelling some of their upcoming performances while bassist, and founding member of the band, John McVie, gets treatment for cancer. Fleetwood Mac is currently enjoying a very successful tour in various parts of the world yet they have just posted on their website details about the cancellation of their upcoming 14 date tour of Australia and New Zealand.

According to Eonline and the band's website:

"We are sorry to not be able to play these Australian and New Zealand dates," band members Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood said in a statement. "We hope our Australian and New Zealand fans as well as Fleetwood Mac fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best."

We don't know what kind of cancer John is facing but we do wish him well and hope for a speedy recovery. John is 67 years old and helped start Fleetwood Mac back in 1967 with drummer Mick Fleetwood.
