Add another sad episode to the synthetic drug epidemic that's spread across Central New York this year.  A Utica man is accused of disrupting a funeral at Holy Trinity Church on Lincoln Ave in West Utica.

The incident happened Monday evening July 30.  The UPD police report via Facebook,

Police officers would arrest Brian Thompson (age 45, of Chestnut Street, Utica) and charged him with:
*Disruption/disturbance of a religious service (misdemeanor), and
*Unlawful possession of synthetic drugs.

It is alleged that Thompson disrupted a funeral service by yelling out incoherently and appeared to be highly intoxicated. At the time of Thompson's arrest officers found him to be in possession of synthetic marijuana known as "Bizarro".
