400 Kegs Of Christmas – Genesee Brewery Lights Annual ‘Keg Tree’
For the third year in a row, the Genesee Brewery in Rochester has lit up their Keg Tree!
The 'tree' is made up of over 400 half-barrel kegs and stands about 26 feet tall(or 11 kegs high).
This year the crew says they added 1,500 feet of lights, bringing the total light count to over 20,000!
After it was complete, hundreds gathered outside of the Genesee Brew House to watch the lighting and sample some of Genesee's newest beer variety.
Now, we just have to get the F.X. Matt Brewery here in Utica to do something unique as well. Since the Utica Comets and Rochester Americans are now division rivals, shouldn’t the makers of delicious Saranac beer at the F.X. Matt Brewery do something to show Utica is just as creative(and competitive)?
Maybe a 'stein tree' with Schultz & Dooley steins stacked up? How about wooden barrels instead of kegs? Or hundreds of Utica Club cans?
We know getting people together to drink beer in Utica won't be a problem......
We want to hear your ideas!
