Most people spend their golden years taking it easy.  Not the case for Leo Plass.   He just graduated from college at the age of 99!

After dropping out of college more than 70 years ago, 99 year old Leo Plass has finally graduated from college.  He  earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Oregon University.  Leo had less than a semester to finish back in 1932 when he dropped out of college.  He'd been studying to be a teacher but left school because of the Depression and also because he thought he could make more money doing something other than teaching.  At that time, he would've made about $80 a month as a teacher.  Instead, he took a job with a logging company, making $150 a month.  Leo says he has no regrets about his decision because $150 was alot of money back then.  As for finishing college at 99, he calls it "out of this world."  Leo's degree is in carpentry.  Better late than never, right?  Way to go Leo.
