For the second day in a row, a line of strong thunderstorms have moved through Central New York. The storms brought hail to much of the Utica metropolitan area.

The picture above was taken by Joe Zogby near Chanatry's on French Road in South Utica shortly after 6:00pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

Also hard hit was Whitesboro. The village dealt with down trees, a cancelled concert in the park, and stalled preparations for a Memorial Day weekend carnival.

Travel in the village was hampered by a power outage that took out the traffic light at Whitesboro's busiest intersection, Route 69 and Clinton Street.

The photo below shows  damage from a fallen tree in Whitesboro.
