The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for parts of CNY.

The Wind Advisory is in effect until 2 pm, Monday, April 16 and includes Oneida, Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Tompkins, Madison, Cortland, Chenango, Onondaga, and Otsego Counties.

* WINDS...Southeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* TIMING...The strongest winds are expected late tonight into
Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

As of 4:15 EST, National Grid reports that over 16,000 customers in Central New York are without power. The current outage map can be found at nationalgridus.com

Items have been blown into roadways, and small tree limbs are scattered across streets, so use caution when driving and be alert to debris in the roadways.
