Last week, I told you about the amazing Ilion Angels and their Challengers team for special needs kids. Their homecoming game was last Sunday, and it was a total success!

The Challengers played CVA's JV team. The team was phenomenal with the kids on the Challengers! Several parents and fans were saying it was one of the most enjoyable games they've ever watched. I am thrilled to say several people came out to support the Challengers. Many cheerleaders from different squads stayed as well after their game or came back to cheer for our Challengers along with the three Challengers cheerleaders. Some coaches also stayed and watched the game and helped coach. They announced the whole game and had the scoreboard lit right up as well.It was an all around great time!! The Ilion Angels are also rocking their pink in support of breast cancer awareness month!

Typically at a football homecoming game, it is common for the team to run through a giant sign onto the field. However, Coach Brad had the parents line up on the 30 yard line instead of having them run through a sign, and as the players were announced the players ran to their parents and gave them a pink rose. Such a fun and fantastic way to start off a great game!

The Challengers have gotten a few new kids recently who have joined once the word has gotten out! That is great news! I think this is a great idea, a great team, and it is free to sign up! So let's get this out there and let everybody know about the amazing thing the Ilion Angels have started with the Challengers! For more information visit their facebook page found here.
