Ilion Days Schedule of Events and Doo Dah Parade Announced

The dates and plans for the 32nd annual Ilion Days have been set and we have all the details for you.

First of all, this year's Ilion Days runs from Saturday, July 14th through Sunday, July 22nd. Every day of the festival sees lots of activities and events throughout Ilion, but we picked some of our favorites to share with you - The highlights of this year's event.

Saturday, July 14th: City-wide garage sales go from 9am to 4pm, and the princess pageant starts at 4pm at the Municipal Building.

Sunday, July 15th: From 9am to 1pm there is a child safety program being put on by the Ilion Police Department at the Slocum Dickson North Parking Lot. Then from 1pm to 4pm there's Family Fun at London Towers with the Utica Zoomobile and activities for the kids.

Monday, July 16th: From 6 to 9 you can learn three dances with basic dance lessons. That happens at the Annunciation Parish Center.

Tuesday, July 17th: See "Ilion Through the Years" (which happens to be the theme for this year's Doo Dah Parade). See postcards, photographs, and other memorabilia of Ilion at the Municipal Building from 6 to 8.

Wednesday, July 18th: See the movie "The Greatest Showman" at Central Plaza, starting at 8:30.

Thursday, July 19th: Watch the Ilion Civic Band Concert at the Gazebo, and enjoy an Ilion Days Ice Cream Social at 7:30.

Friday, July 20th: The big day! The Doo Dah Parade kicks off at 6:30, and Fireworks at Whalen Field at 9:45pm.

Saturday, July 21st: The festivities kick off at 7am with the registration for the run/walk at Ilion Library. From 10am to 3pm there's lots of activities at Central Plaza including a dog show and a craft fair. There will also be a pizza eating contest at Franco's on Saturday.

Sunday, July 22nd: Enjoy the car show at London Towers from 11am to 3:30pm. There will also be a 50/50 and other raffles at the car show.
