Incivility Is Increasing At Work

Have you noticed co-workers being more rude lately?  Are they in a bad mood alot and you seem to be on the receiving end more than usual?  It's probably not your imagination.  Incivilty is on the rise in the workplace. 

USA Today reported this week that the American Psychological Association is seeing an increase in incivility at work with between 75 and 80% saying they have experienced it at work.  Insults, rude behavior and bad manners are on becoming more common at work.  What's going on?  One psychologist thinks it could be people are working harder and getting paid less, which can create a toxic work environment.  Have you seen more rudeness at your job?
