Reunited! John Goodman Slated to Co-Star in Roseanne Barr’s New Sitcom
Fans of ‘Roseanne’ will find this cause for celebration: John Goodman, who played blue-collar dad Dan Conner on the sitcom, is again joining forces with his old TV wife, Roseanne Barr.
Goodman is reportedly in final negotiations to co-star in Barr’s new NBC show, ‘Downwardly Mobile,’ in which she portrays the proprietor of a mobile home park and the surrogate mother to all of the unique people who live there in a challenging economy. Goodman will play a man who works at the park and is friends with Barr’s character.
He won’t be the only ‘Roseanne’ alum onboard — the executive producer, director and casting director of ‘Downwardly Mobile’ all worked on Barr’s star-making hit show, as well.
Goodman’s most recent TV role was on ‘Damages,’ but he’s mainly been appearing in movies in recent years, including the Oscar-nominated silent film ‘The Artist.’ He’s also set to star in the Coen brothers’ ‘Inside Llewyn Davis.’
