I can't begin to tell you how excited I am that a new roof top restaurant is coming to our area; however before we decide to eat there, we may want to learn how to pronounce some of their food offerings. Ocean Blue's doors will opening soon, but we may have a difficult time ordering if we don't know how to properly verbalize our requests. According to WKTV:

Ocean Blue Restaurant, atop downtown Utica's Landmarc Building, began taking reservations for their October 1st opening at noon on Thursday.  The phone rang nonstop, including one caller who phoned in from Utah.

Apparently my palette is not all that refined. I'm so used to ordering hot wings and pizza, that when a new restaurant comes along, I realize I don't know how to articulate some of the restaurant's dishes. Hopefully I'm not insulting your intelligence by posting this little pronunciation guide.

Ocean Blue will be offering "Cioppino".  Do you know what that is? According to Dictionary.com,  Cioppino is:

a stew of fish, shellfish, tomatoes, and seasonings.

Do you know how to say it?  I had to resort to a YouTube video to learn the proper pronunciation:

They will also be offering "Fritto Misto" as an appetizer? Is this some sort of glorified corn chip snack?  Hardly.  According to Merriam Webster, Fritto Misto is:

small morsels of meat, seafood, or vegetables coated with batter and deep fried.

Ocean Blue is also offering Ceviche and Buratta to their customers. Watch videos to learn the proper pronunciations of these two dishes.

I had Just Jen try to pronounce some of the names this morning.
