If these scorching temperature already have you dreaming about fall weekends, here's one event you'll want to add to your calendar immediately.

Every year, thousands of people head to Little Falls for a festival that's packed with amazing food, live music, local shopping, and, of course, lots and lots of cheese. Whether you're a fan of sharp cheddar, creamy goat cheese, or just looking for a fun day out with the family, there's something for everyone.

What's New This Year?

One of the biggest additions this year is guided cheese tastings led by The Cheese Traveler from Albany. These special ticketed tastings give visitors a chance to sample different cheeses while learning what makes each one unique.

You'll also find plenty of New York-made favorites, including:

  • Cheddar
  • Gouda
  • Havarti
  • Goat cheese
  • Cheese curds
  • Yogurt
  • Butter

Beyond the cheese, you can enjoy gourmet food vendors, New York craft beverages, food trucks, local restaurants, shopping, and live entertainment all along Main Street.

When Is the Festival?

The Little Falls Cheese Festival takes place on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Little Falls.

Admission is free, and so are parking and shuttle buses. Organizers have even added more shuttle buses this year, including additional handicap-accessible shuttles, to make getting around even easier.

A Tradition That Keeps Growing

Little Falls has been making cheese since the 1800s, and that history is one reason this festival has become one of the biggest celebrations of New York cheese. It brings together cheesemakers from across the state while giving visitors a chance to explore local businesses and enjoy a fun fall day with family and friends.

If you'd like to reserve a spot for one of the guided cheese tastings or keep up with vendor and entertainment announcements, visit littlefallscheesefestival.com.
