Bring the Whole Family Out to ‘Third Thursday’ in Little Falls
We're all ready for summer and warmer weather. Little Falls is getting a jump on things with their 'Third Thursday,' event coming up on April 19th.
So what exactly is "Third Thursday"?
Well, The City of Little Falls Tourism Committee, Little Falls Family YMCA, and Think Local have all teamed up for this event with activities going on throughout the whole city. Each month, there is a new theme for "Third Thursday," like May's theme of "Health and Wellness." This month's theme will be "Earth Day."
There are many activities going on for the whole family on "Third Thursday." According to the Event's Press Release, the day starts off with a community tree planting ceremony outside of the "Faces of Astarte" at 407 Canal Place. This event will start at 4:30pm, and the first 75 attendees will get a free sapling. There will also be a wandering feast with a three-course meal, where you bring your own bowl and utensils and enjoy delicious food from "The Little Place on Main," "Ole Sal's" and "The Mustard Seed." Tickets are $10, and their will be utensils, bowls, and such available for purchase (if you don't or can't bring your own).
"Third Thursday" also includes great FREE activities for the kids like seed planting, vegetable stamp print making, a snake and reptile meet and greet, and creating a bottle cap mural. These activities will be held outside at Canal Place starting at 4:30pm. Author Barry Cavanaugh will also be on hand, signing books.
These are just a handful of all the fun events that will be taking place on "Third Thursday," and trust us, there is a LOT more. You can keep updated on the latest news about "Third Thursday," catch up on all the activities scheduled, and see the list of events going on throughout the weekend (after this month's Third Thursday), by visiting: ShopLittleFallsNY.com or on Facebook at the: Think Local Little Falls' Page.
If you can't make it out to the event next week, don't worry, there will be plenty of more "Third Thursdays" coming up in the following months. But we hope to see you there!
