A Brooklyn man living in Utica is facing a charge of attempted murder following a shooting on June 11th on the 900 block of Saratoga Street.

Utica Police say 41-year old Stephen Francois allegedly shot another man at an after hours party.

Utica Police investigators worked with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force in attempt to locate the suspect.  Francois was arrested on Tuesday at a residence in West Utica.

Francois is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.

The victim underwent several surgeries at a Syracuse hospital.  Police say he's expected to survive.
