Hurricane Sandy is mere hours away from the Northeast Coast and chances are, if you're out now, you'll be riding out the storm where you are.  Subway, commuter railroad and bus services have been suspended in major metropolitan areas across the region.

The Metropolitan Transit Authority has suspended all service on subways, the Metro North Railroad, Long Island Railroad and busses.

NJ Transit remains in the process (as of 10PM Sunday) of 'winding down' service across the Garden State.  NJ Transit plans to suspend all service by 2AM Monday morning.

MTA bridges and tunnels are officially open at this point (10PM Sunday) but due to the anticipated historic nature of Hurricane Sandy and perhaps the largest storm surge in New York City's recorded history, suspension on service could happen at any time.
