Nearly 3,000 Pounds Of Chef Boyardee Has Been Recalled
If you're someone who stocks up on Chef Boyardee for your kids, you may want to check your cupboards. Conagra Brands announced today the recall for approximately 2,871 pounds of microwaveable Chef Boyardee due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.
According to the FDA, the products recalled are labeled as chicken and rice products but contain beef ravioli products. The products were produced and packaged on Jan. 16, 2019. The following products are subject to recall:
- 7.5 oz. canned microwavable bowls of “Chef BOYARDEE rice with chicken & vegetables” on the label, and a package code of 210090151050045L, and ‘BEST BY’ date of Jul082020 on the bottom of the bowl.
The subjected product has the establishment number “EST. 794” on the bottom of the bowl. These items were shipped to retail locations in Florida, Kentucky and New York.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. The products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
