New Coffee Roasting Business Coming To Downtown Rome
The former Rome City Hall on North James Street will soon be the home of a brand new local business. Rome natives Christopher Streifert and Steven Klepadio are soon launching Broasters Coffee Company.
Broasters will be selling freshly roasted coffee to local customers, and hopes to begin distribution of their specialty coffee products later this year. The company's founders told the Rome Sentinel that their plan is to offer whole bean and ground coffee to local stores and restaurants as well.
On their Facebook site, Broasters refers to themselves as a Rome, NY based commercial micro-roaster developing premium single-origin fresh roasted coffee beans. The business already has several hundred likes on their page.
There is no firm date for Broasters' opening at the former city hall.
