Ramen noodles have long been the salvation of the starving college student; 25 cents for a block of dried noodles certainly won't bust the budget, but it probably isn't as delicious as the real ramen noodles you can get at I Ramen Bar in the New Hartford Shopping Center.

The restaurant's menu features a variety a ramen dishes including their signature ramen dish, Tonkotsu Ramen, which includes homemade tonkotsu broth, black garlic oil and sweet umami sauce. It's served with a soft-boiled egg and your choice of marinated cha shu pork, chicken, beef, or tofu. If Tonkotsu Ramen doesn't sound appealing, there's also Spicy Ramen, Vegetable Ramen, and others to choose from. Tonkotsu Ramen, like all the other ramen choices, is just $10.95. (According to wikipedia.com, tonkotsu is a pork-based broth, not to be confused with tonkAtsu, which is a dish of breaded and fried pork.)

Not a fan of ramen at all? Not to worry, because there are even more options, including a very reasonably priced sushi menu, which includes your standard sushi rolls along with some unique rolls, like the American Dream (shrimp tempura, kani and crunchies topped with avocado and eel sauce) and the Red River Roll (spicy tuna, mango and avocado topped with roe).

The I Ramen Bar is located in the New Hartford Shopping Center, close to the Planet Fitness entrance. You can visit their website at iramenbar.com.

According to a recent Yelp review from a local user named Darryl:
