According to a study of 5,000 Americans from the folks at Snickers candy bars, New Yorkers are the nation's "hangriest" bunch.

New York residents were more likely than those in other U.S. states to be angry or "in a mood" when they're deprived of food.

California and Florida tied for second place in the "hangry" department. Wisconsin residents graded out as least "hangry."

The questionnaire also discovered that peak "hangry" time for Americans is 2:15 on a Monday afertnoon. Women are more likely than men (70% to 52%) to exhibit grumpy behavior when they're hungry.

An article in the New York Post includes some other interesting stats from the Snickers study.
