This 'holiday-themed' place has been named 'The Weirdest Tourist Attraction' in New York, but we don't think there's anything weird about it at all...

We're talking about Santa's Workshop, just north of Lake Placid. Moneywise.com named this place as the "Weirdest Tourist Attraction in New York," and although we know it's a very unique place, we don't think "weird" is the best word for it. Honestly, it's the perfect place to get the whole family into the holiday spirit.

If you haven't been to Santa's Workshop before, you'll find this cute little village in North Pole, New York. At Santa's Workshop you can visit with Santa Claus, see the Reindeer Barn, make some crafts, and even pick up some goodies inside the bakery shop. And that's not even half of all the great things you can experience at the North Pole. At Santa's Toy Maker you can help make a toy or color pictures. They even have a toy test area where children can try out toys and let the elves know what they like the best. You can take a trip to Santa's Hat Maker and get your own custom Santa Hat. And you can stop by the "World of Christmas," pick up a souvenir or two, and see a GIGANTIC Christmas tree that's decorated in the middle of the store.

Sure, Santa's Workshop may be a little different, especially if you visit the village in the middle of summer, but we don't think it's "weird." It's definitely not as weird as some of the other tourist attractions on Moneywise.com's list, like the "UFO Shaped House in Delaware" or the "Potato Museum in Idaho."

You can get more details on our own weird tourist attraction "Santa's Workshop," and get everything you need to know for planning your trip, by visiting: NorthPoleNY.com
