According to the comments, the woman who took this picture went out looking for the kitten. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to find it. It's believed to be a gray and white kitten around 6 weeks or so (estimate based on how small it was).

Since the post went up on the morning of Friday, August 11th, it has been shared over 2,000 times.

No matter what the full story is behind this, if you have a cat, kitten, puppy, or any other animal or pet you can't take care of or don't want anymore, there are options. Stevens-Swan Human Society and the Herkimer County Humane Society are just a few of the places you can call and get more information.
