Please Feed and House This Cuddly Bear
We know. We know. There are all sorts of signs in these parts warning people against the dangers of feeding the bears. In this case, you CAN.
Tamara Seelman, the manager at the Humane Society of Rome recently had a chat with Bear and here's a portion of the "statement" he gave:
Bear here! I am a handsome coonhound around 7 1/2 years old. I am a very happy senior guy who loves to cuddle, get endless butt&ear scratches, and romp around outside in the yard on my free time. I love to go for walks and play with my stuffed toys but really I am just a mellow guy that wants to enjoy those days where you lounge around and lay in bed. I get along well with other dogs but a proper meet and greet is always required. I would have to be cat tested for potential adopters if you had a kitty. A rural country style home with some space and yard would be ideal for me as I am a hound that deserves a space for my breed. Even though I have lived with children of all ages, older children might be best for me because sometimes I think all food is fair game, my potential family would have to be patient and help refine my table manners which should be fairly easy because I am smart and like to please my handlers. I also really enjoy going for car rides and enjoy sticking my head out the window to take in all the smells. Come on down to the shelter and spend some time with me, you will surely fall in love just like the staff has!
This Bear currently resides at the Humane Society of Rome, but he'd love to go home with you. Here's Bear's personal bio page from the HSR's website. And here's the video capturing his visit to the Lite 98.7 studio:
