New Casino in Central New York Opening Soon
The newest casino to come to Central New York, Point Place Casino in Bridgeport, will be ready for business before spring hits.
With the new casino comes many new job openings in a variety of fields... But we'll get to that in a minute.
Point Place Casino is located on Route 31 in Bridgeport, in Madison County, and is scheduled to open Thursday, March 1st. According to Oneida Nation, the 65,000-square-foot facility will feature nearly 500 popular slot machines, 20 game tables, and several different restaurants and bars.
Point Place Casino will be home to two restaurants: "Wicked Good Pizza" and "The Burgers of Madison County." Two bars are located in the facility: "The Fireside Lounge" and "Paddle Bar," and there will even be a place for your sweet-tooth, "Opals Confectionery."
The new facility will be holding a job fair for the 200-plus jobs it's creating. Jobs range from drink servers and bartenders to slot service representatives and security personnel. Cooks will also be needed for the restaurants, as well as table game dealers for the game floor. The job fair will be held next Monday (January 15th) from 10am to 6pm in the plaza at the intersection of Route 298 and Route 31.
