Kelly Clarkson recieved rave reviews for her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the 2012 Super Bowl.  But can it compete with this version from 1991 by Whitney Houston?

Whitney's iconic performance, at Super Bowl XXV, happened at the pinnacle of her career and as the country was embroiled in the First Gulf War.  It's the most commercially successful version of the national anthem of all time.

From Wikipedia:

Due to overwhelming response to her rendition, it was released as a commercial single and video of her performance, and reached the Top 20 on the US Hot 100, making her the only act to turn the national anthem into a pop hit of that magnitude.
