The dog who was rescued from the basement of a home in Syracuse has died, but not before her bucket List was complete.  Jada was found in a cage and taken to HumaneCNY by the police.

At that time the dog was already emaciated, and tests found that her body was full of cancer. The director of HumaneCNY told the Post Standard that the staff at the shelter was devastated when they heard that Jada did not have long to live.

A bucket list was created for Jada that included a ride on a fire truck, eating McDonald's food, and a Dave & Buster's birthday party.  But, the big story is that her journey was followed by so many on the HumaneCNY Facebook page.  That has created a huge awareness about the horrors of animal cruelty.  The director says the Jada story has educated the community about the evils of animal cruelty and neglect, as well as the lack of punishments for those who harm animals.

The latest posting on Jada informed us that she has passed away.  For more of the story, please click on the video below.
