‘Seinfeld’ Star Directing Musical in Central New York
A star of one of the most iconic television shows in history will be spending a little time in Central New York.
Jason Alexander - who portrayed the wayward George Costanza on 'Seinfeld' - is directing a musical called "The Next Five Years" for the Syracuse Stage.
The show produced off-Broadway in 2002, and "explores a five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. The show uses a form of storytelling in which Cathy's story is told in reverse chronological order (beginning the show at the end of the marriage), and Jamie's is told in chronological order (starting just after the couple have first met)," according to a synopsis on Wikipedia.
The show will run from May 29th through June 16th. You can purchase tickets at SyracuseStage.org.
