We all have that one Facebook friend...you know the one: he or she just can't stop sharing all the political posts. Or the pictures of sad puppies. You love your friend, but you just need a break. Facebook has got your back.

Facebook is currently testing a new "snooze" feature. According to TechCrunch, the feature will allow you to mute friends or pages for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. This gives Facebook users an alternative to unfollowing or the dreaded unfriending.

How does it work?

According to Tech Crunch:

"To Snooze someone, tap the drop-down arrow in the top right of someone’s post. Now instead of just an unfollow option, there’s “Unfollow or Snooze.” Tap that, and you can choose whether you want to Snooze someone for a day, a week, a month or permanently unfollow them."

There's no word if Facebook is planning on making this a permanent feature, or is just doing a short-term test.

Do you have any candidates for this new snooze feature?
