Small Plane Crashes in Clifton Park

Preliminary reports are one person is dead this morning after a plane crashed just after take off from Albany airport this morning.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving what appears to be a small plane in Saratoga County. The Vischer Ferry Fire Department said it happened on Van Vranken Road in the hamlet.

WRGB states, According to Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department officials, a plane has crashed landed near the Colonie Reservoir in Clifton Park.Officials say it happened around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Crescent Road and Van Vranken Road in Clifton Park.Rescue crews are still at the scene.
