When it Comes to Star Wars, New York Would be on the Dark Side

If you ever wondered in the Star Wars Universe what side you would be on, we now have an answer, thanks to Distractify.

It's no surprise the world is in a Star Wars frenzy right now, especially with the latest movie 'The Force Awakens,' now playing in theaters. So with Star Wars on everyone's mind, Distractify decided to find out whether each state would be on the 'light side' or the 'dark side.'

So how would you find out which side a state is on? Well, According to Distractify,

To decide whether a state was aligned with the light side or the dark side, we compared the search rankings for some popular light and dark phrases against each other, like "Darth Vader" vs "Yoda."

And apparently, New York searched for more 'dark side' terms. They weren't the worse one on the list, though. Utah holds that spot, with Nevada coming in second, and Idaho in at number three. New York sits at 25 out of the 28 states that made it on the 'dark side.' So technically, New York is on the dark side, but not that dark.
