Survey Says: It IS Rude To Use Your Phone During a Meal, Meeting or In Class
According to a new survey from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, 80% of people think it's rude to use your phone at the dinner table and 62% think it's rude to even HAVE your phone at the table. If you going to a meeting, 90% say it's wrong to take a call, so don't bring your phone. Plus 92% of the students say you shouldn't use your phone in class.
We're not sure if they asked college kids, high school kids, or both, but if they did, most likely the numbers would be lower. If you're an adult and you'd like to impress your Valentine, may we suggest you only use your phone at an appropriate time. It's safe to say checking to see if that call was urgent or responding to an important text is okay, but if you'll like to secure NO second date, a lower grade or an unproductive business meeting, have fun with your phone. How do you feel?
