Taylor Swift Takes Artist of the Year Honor at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Taylor Swift really cleaned up at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards last night in Las Vegas. You can add 'Artist of the Year' to the list of awards that she took home.

She accepted many top honors in her royal blue mini dress from another singing sensation, Celine Dion, who by the way also looked fabulous. According to PopCrush:

Swift was her usual sweet and grateful self, thanking her family and adding that she considered her mom, dad and brother Austin some of her best friends. Awww! She described her music, especially her most recent album 'Red,' as being on total opposite ends of the emotional spectrum -- ranging from love to heartbreak. The '22' songstress told her fans she was forever in their debt for making her music the soundtrack to their emotions. Of course, Swift also gave props to her collaborator and buddy, Ed Sheeran!

Perhaps, T. Swift got the last laugh when she finished her speech with a remark to her fans, "You are the longest and best relationship I’ve ever had." Ha! Tay Tay's got a sense of humor and she's not afraid to show it! Now that she's poking fun at herself, do you think everyone and their brother might as well? As the old adage goes, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!"

The 23-year-old pop star beat Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Rihanna to claim the honor and we can think of no one more deserving of the Artist of the Year honor!
