Vintage Mr. Potato Head Original Commercial is a Little… Terrifying

Did you know the original Mr. Potato Head was a real potato? Have you seen the vintage commercial for the toy?

After Naomi Lynn found out you can mail potatoes with messages (or selfies) to your friends through an online company "Potato Parcel," her and JR started talking about Mr. Potato Head. The classic toy was actually a real potato before the plastic version was released - Which is something Naomi didn't know.

While JR and Naomi were talking about the original Mr. Potato Head, JR decided to find an old commercial for the toy (obviously something Naomi hadn't seen). And let's just say the commercial was a little scary to her (you can see it in the video at the top of this page).

Maybe it has something to do with being born in a later generation - And being exposed to hi-tech games and toys. Maybe it was the creations that the kids made in the actual commercial. Either way, there was something very off-putting about it. Naomi's words were,

These are the things nightmares are made of...

Again, she's probably spoiled from living in a later generation and doesn't know what fun was before everything became remote controlled and with lights and what not. But you have to admit, with all the toys and games that are available now, something like this could be a little freaky to kids these days.
