Tom Hanks Tells David Letterman That He Has Type 2 Diabetes

Perhaps you already knew that Tom Hanks has had some medical issues, well, when appearing on the "Late Show With David Letterman", Tom revealed that he has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

During the show on Monday night (October 7th, 2013) to promote his new film "Captain Phillips," Tom made us smile while describing the conversation between him and his physician. His doctor told him that he had moved from a prediabetic state to having the disease.

CNN Reports:

"I went to the doctor and he said, 'You know those high blood sugar numbers you've been dealing with since you were 36? Well, you've graduated,' " Hanks told Letterman. " 'You've got Type 2 diabetes, young man.' "
