United Way’s Valley Day of Action: Beautifying Herkimer

Over the summer, United Way of the Valley and the Greater Utica Area hosted an event called "Graffiti Busters." They did an awesome job of painting over our city and their next conquest is Herkimer.

On Saturday October 3, United Way and their volunteers will be cleaning up litter, planting mums, painting benches, and helping Herkimer to look better and brighter. United Way is partnering with the Herkimer Recreation Committee for this "Day of Action," and you can help too!

The Day of Action kicks off at 9:30 AM at Myers Park in Herkimer. Volunteers will form small groups then disperse into various parts of the Village. The event wraps up at 11:00 AM at Myers Park. Cider, donuts, and other refreshments will be served to volunteers.
