Students attending Utica College next year will be paying much less in tuition.

UC President Todd Hutton announced today that the college is re-setting its tuition price from $35,00 a year to just under $20,000 beginning in the fall of 2016.

Hutton says it's all about increasing affordability for students.  "We consider this tuition reset to be a bold move for tomorrow,"  says Hutton, because in improving affordability, we are also expanding access to a high quality Utica College education that launches our students' successful sutures."

Room and Board at the college will also be reduced by 13%, so the college's total published price will be $30,430.

Hutton says Utica College will continue to provide both need-based and merit-based financial aid to lower the cost for students and their families even further.
