Utica firefighters braved the sub-zero cold last Thursday to fight a fire at 763-65 Bleeker Street. It's impressive to watch Central New York's finest subdue the flames. They also successfully rescued eight residents and one very thankful cat.

All eight residents were safely evacuated. A cat was rescued from the building and recuperated in one of the fire engines before being returned to its owners.

Great work guys, your courageous and dauntless work is supremely appreciated by all of us here in Central New York!
