Spend an evening at the Utica Zoo sampling some of the best craft beers from around our state at the 20th annual 'Brewfest.'

There's just something so fun about enjoying a few adult beverages while walking around and visiting all the animals at the Utica Zoo. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you're enjoying alcohol at the zoo, which is not something they normally offer (except for during this event and Wine in the Wilderness). Maybe it's the fact that you're at the zoo at a time when it's typically closed. Maybe it's a combination of both, and then some.

Whatever the reason, Brewfest is such a fun event and it's coming up pretty shortly here. The fundraising event for the Utica Zoo is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th and goes from 6pm to 9pm.

If you haven't been to the Utica Zoo's Brewfest before, here's what you can expect:

- Over 100 different craft beers that you can sample
- Wine and hard cider samples, as well
- Live music
- A silent auction (inside the zoo's auditorium)
- Free food samples
- Complimentary water and soda
- Vendors with food and other goodies
- A fun, laid-back evening at the zoo
- Commemorative Utica Zoo pint glass (if you're one of the first 3,000 attendees through the gate)

According to Utica Zoo Brewfest 2018 Facebook Event Page, this year's live music is by China Pig and Soup Bone Charlie. Tickets for this event go on sale TODAY (Monday, June 11th). General admission for Brewfest is $40 in advance or $45 at the door. If you're a member of the Utica Zoo, tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. There are also designated driver tickets available for $25.
