Winner of NBC's "The Voice", Sawyer Frederick's, performed before a sellout crowd at my Alma Mater, and the show was amazing!

Mohawk Valley Community College has had some stellar performers as of late. Over the summer, one of my favorite bands, Vertical Horizon took the stage. A couple of weeks ago, ticket holders packed out the Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center Field House to watch Bill Nye the Science Guy impress them with his vast knowledge and creative tricks. Word on the street is, most attendees left the auditorium feeling a little bit smarter.

The other night, Fultonville native, and champ of NBC's "The Voice", Sawyer Fredericks sang before an excited sellout crowd. He performed an eleven song set that included: "Man of Constant Sorrow," "Early in the Morning," and "Happy" to name a few. He also belted out a new version of "Not My Girl." The teenage prodigy stated on the Sawyer Frederick's Facebook Forum:

I had a lot of fun reinterpreting Not My Girl, a song I wrote when I was 12. It felt like I was jamming *with* the audience.

Here's a video of that performance:
