What time of day are you most likely to be lied to?  Sometimes it's easy to spot a lie.  Other times it's not so easy.  Want to know how you might be able to tell if you're being lied to?  Check your watch.

If you want the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, avoid the afternoon.  Researchers at Harvard say you're most likely to be lied to during the afternoon.  People are more likely to be honest during the morning than during the afternoon.  They're 22% more likely to lie after midday and by the afternoon lying gets even easier.  We're  44% more likely to fib during the afternoon.

This is true of both men and women.  The reason?  Daily activities seems to wear down our moral compass.  Lying is also more likely if someone is hungry or tired.

So the next time you're looking for honesty, keep an eye on the clock.
