We may have done some celebrating over the weekend but today is the official day. Here are some local establishments where you can find some tasty St. Patrick's Day fare!

The Celtic Harp Restaurant and Pub

Unless you're visiting the Emerald Isle, it doesn't get more Irish than The Celtic Harp! Not only do they offer traditional Irish food like corned beef and cabbage, their St. Patty's Day menu options are limitless! Have you ever tried Guinness Beef Stew or Irish Meatloaf?! They also offer a wide variety of Irish drink selections: Irish whiskey, Michael Collins, Paddy's, and Concannon Irish Whiskey. I think you'll really enjoy the warm service and cozy vibe here.  And as the old Irish proverb goes: "It's easy to halve the potato where there is love." The Celtic Harp is located at 805 Varick Street in Utica.

Swifty's Restaurant and Pub

Have you ever heard of Irish Nachos? I hadn't either until I visited Swifty's in Utica. If you thought traditional nachos were tasty, imagine chips drizzled with cheddar and topped with Applewood smoked bacon! I tried this appealing appetizer and I thought it was heavenly! They also prepare one of the best Reuben sandwiches in town. Try it "Swift Style" with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. The Dubliner is also a tasty treat at Swifty's. It's a turkey sandwich with an Irish flare.  Swing on in to Swifty's on Genesee Street in Utica. They'll make you feel right at home. Or as the Irish folk like to say: “nil aon tintéan mar do thintéan féin!"

Killabrew Saloon Irish Pub

If you'd like to turn your St. Patrick’s Day dinner into more of a Thanksgiving feast, Killabrew offers overstuffed corned beef sandwiches that will keep you full until next March 17th.  They also make a KILLer corned beef Reuben! If you're not big on corned beef and cabbage, Killabrew Saloon has some of the most amazing chicken wings in central New York! If you'd like to wash down that tasty food with a good Irish beer, they've got 21 different beers to choose from. Killabrew is located at 10 Clinton Road in New Hartford. You're welcome! or Tá fáilte romhat!

If you don't feel like heading out on the town, you can prepare your own St. Patty's Day dinner at home!

If you missed this morning's Just Jen Segment, we talked St. Patty's Day and here it is!
