Whole Foods Market To Grow Upstate New York Footprint
The upscale grocery store chain Whole Foods Market has revealed plans to add another market in Upstate New York.
Currently there is a single Whole Foods Market in New York State north of Westchester County and that's in Albany at Colonie Center. The chain is set to begin work on it's first location in Western New York in the Rochester suburb of Brighton. WHAM reports that the store is opening in a plaza on Monroe Avenue.
However, the store won't be open immediately. While the town planning board was presented a proposal, work on the area set to contain the store could take up to two years to complete.
There is also interest on Whole Foods Maket's part in coming to Syracuse. Syracuse.com reports that the grocery is also eyeing Central New York.
