Winter Olympics Anniversary

It was on this date back in 1924 that the very first Winter Olympic games opened.  France was the host country.  I found some amazing footage of that very first Winter Olympiad to share with you. 

What is your favorite event in the winter games?  Mine is curling followed by ski jumping.
