Amy Robach of ABC's popular morning program,'Good Morning America' agreed to participate in a segment featuring live on air screenings for breast cancer. She now has learned that, in fact, she has breast cancer.

Amy Robach is 40 and after her on-air mammogram last month during the show's campaign to promote breast cancer awareness, she got a call from her doctors requesting additional tests. In fact, she has the disease.

ABC tells us that she summed up her upcoming fight by saying,

"It's still hard for me to say the words out loud. I have breast cancer."

ABC also says:

Later this week, Robach will go into the hospital for a bilateral mastectomy. She's having reconstructive surgery after that.
